Amari Lanier

Amari Dontae’ Lanier was born in Charlotte, NC, where she discovered her passion for dance at 2 years old. She officially began her training at age 5, taking ballet classes at the local recreation center and other dance genres through her elementary school specials with Mrs. Zugelder May. Even at an early age, her determination, confidence, and enthusiasm for the arts was visible and admired by those around her. Amari was selected in 4th grade to be a part of the Inspire Dance/Performing Arts Company family. Dance has greatly impacted Amari, boosting her confidence and nurturing her mental health. It has taught her valuable lessons about perseverance and the joy of self-expression. She has won various convention and competition scholarships in the dance industry, such as the Hollywood Dance Jamz I AM THE JAM award twice, multiple Dancer Palooza scholarships, the World Dance Pageant invitation, and other prestigious scholarships. She was honored to be selected as the Inspire Dancer of the Year 2023 and excelled as an MVP in several group dances. Notably, she was awarded 2nd place National Champion for her solo and achieved recognition as a Title and Improv finalist at Imagine 2024 Nationals in Nashville, TN. Academically, Amari excels and is a proud member of the Junior and National Honor Societies, consistently achieving A and A & B honor roll. Her dedication extends to dual enrollment programs at Belmont Abbey and CPCC, where she excels academically while pursuing her passion for dance. As an assistant to aspiring young dancers, Amari finds great joy in teaching dance and how that can translate into essential life lessons. Her experience with Inspire has taught her patience and gratitude. She is very excited for what’s to come for the 2024-2025 dance season. LET’S GO INSPIRE!!!
